A native of London, Sara graduated Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts with honors. She then took a position as artist-in-residence at a high school in Wales. In 1985 she accepted an offer to teach Design, Jewelry and Silversmithing at the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem. There she met her husband, musician and translator Aryeh Naftaly, and they moved to Moshav Mevo Modiim where Sara set up shop.

Among her many commissions, Sara made the 1996 British WIZO Peace Award – a silver Yahrzeit candle-holder presented to Leah Rabin; Torah breastplates for the Exeter Synagogue, England and the Mevo Modiim shul; the Ner Tamid for Oxford Synagogue, England; and a silver finger-washing (mayim ahronim) set presented by Bnei Brith to Chief Rabbi of England Sir Jonathan Sacks.

Sara is always looking to grow and develop her art and perfect her craft. She welcomes visitors and offers workshops in design and silversmithing, and in addition to her current collection she gladly takes on commissions.
